To inspire, support, and equip Black boys in grades 9–12 to:

Prepare for success in higher education
Strengthen identity, leadership, and purpose

Black male college enrollment is declining—down 25% at HBCUs and 22% nationwide. This national crisis demands a local response, and AEC is committed to reversing the trend.
Who Can Participate
Target: Black boys
in grades 9–12
Open to all 9–12th grade boys in AEC territory
Churches and schools encouraged to nominate students

Step-by-step guidance on completing applications, writing strong personal statements, and standing out in competitive admissions. Learn what colleges look for and how to present your best self.

Discover career paths aligned with your passions and strengths. Gain tools for goal setting, networking, and making informed choices about your future.

Learn how to navigate FAFSA, secure scholarships, and access grants to reduce the burden of college costs. Practical tips to maximize opportunities for funding.

Scholarship Support
$1,000 Scholarship
Every graduating senior will receive a $1,000 tuition scholarship to support their college journey.
$500 Church Sponsorship Goal
Local AEC churches are invited to partner by contributing an additional $500 per student.
$1,500 Total Support
Together, students can receive up to $1,500 in direct financial support for higher education.
