1st Millsboro Church Reaches Community at Annual Pow Wow

The 47th Annual Nanticoke Indian Pow Wow was held the weekend of September 6–7, 2025, at Hudson Fields in Milton, Delaware. Among the many cultural displays and community booths, the Native American Ministry of 1st Millsboro Church sponsored a Non-Profit Informational Booth, offering both fellowship and resources to attendees.

Being the fourth booth upon entrance, the church was blessed with excellent visibility and steady interaction throughout the day. Although Sunday was rained out, Saturday’s efforts brought remarkable engagement—165 men, women, and children visited the booth in just 4 ½ hours. Each guest was warmly welcomed and left with both a gift and information about 1st Millsboro Church.

Faith and Fun Combined

The highlight attraction was the Bible Spinning Wheel, where participants answered Bible questions for prizes. Depending on where the wheel landed, winners received gifts such as:

  • 14 oz. water bottles

  • Cooling towels

  • Level pens

  • Scripture drawstring backpacks

  • Cross bracelets (for men and women)

  • Mystery prizes

The booth also featured a literature table with free spiritual resources, including The Great Controversy, The Great Controversy Ended, Hacksaw Ridge, The Passion of Christ, and even free Bibles upon request. Guests also enjoyed giveaways like pop-up fans with the Lord’s Prayer and keychains. Anyone who signed up for a book will receive it in the mail along with a personal letter from the church.

Reaching the Next Generation

Children were given special attention, each receiving a drawstring backpack filled with sunglasses, pop-up slap wristbands, headphones for school, keychains, and bubbles—a gesture that brought many smiles.

A Blessed Day of Evangelism

Despite weather cutting the weekend short, God richly blessed the effort. In one afternoon, the booth touched the lives of more than 160 people, planting seeds of faith and opening doors for further connection with the community.

Looking ahead, the Native American Ministry is excited to return next year with an even greater presence, continuing to expand evangelism opportunities and share the hope of Christ at the Pow Wow.
