Bethuel Church Hosts Black History Production

Dear God: A letter to our people, from our people at the mercy of God” is a community celebration of black history through the arts.

This theatrical recital was curated and written by Jazmin Salaberrios. In the program, we look to our ancestors, their trials, and triumphs, and creation to see what God has done. Just as God has brought His people out of bondage so many times throughout history, He will bring us out too. The premiere of this theatrical recital was presented by Bethuel SDA Church in Dover, DE on March 2, 2024 at 4:30pm.

Invited guests included Towne Point Elementary Chorus, directed by Crystal Thompkins Jones, and Instrumentalists Rashawn King and GeneMarc Smith. This program included 37 participants and 84 members of our community in attendance. It was a joyous celebration of black history and unification of our community.

This program was supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware Arts events on DELAWARESCENE.COM. It was also supported by the members of Bethuel Church.
