CAMCON 2026 Encourages Churches to “Elevate” Their Church Communication

The AEC Communication Department welcomed more than 90 attendees to its 11th annual Connection and Ministry Conference (CAMCON), held April 24–26 at AEC Headquarters in Pine Forge, Pennsylvania. Centered on the theme “Elevate,” this year’s conference focused on helping communication and media teams strengthen their skills and expand their impact.

Seminars were designed to equip attendees with practical tools in areas such as conflict resolution, branding, visual communication, social media strategy, reel creation, photography, and live streaming. Featured presenters included Chariolett Johnson, DaVita Benson, Kelly Coe, Dr. David Defoe, Avrey Anderson, Ruth Annan, and Colin Sandy, each bringing valuable expertise and insight.

On Friday afternoon, attendees participated in an off-site visit to Pearl Exhibit Group in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, where they gained additional exposure to professional production and display solutions.

Throughout the weekend, participants also enjoyed interactive experiences such as a photobooth, professional headshots, daily giveaways, and meaningful networking opportunities with fellow ministry leaders.

A highlight of the conference took place Saturday evening with the debut of the “Elevation Tank,” where 10 churches presented innovative ideas aimed at enhancing their local communication and media ministries. Presentations were evaluated by a panel of judges that included conference speakers and AEC Chief Financial Officer Lawrance Martin.

“Every year I am energized by the dedication and passion of our local communication and media teams,” said LaTasha Hewitt, AEC communication director. “They are deeply committed to sharing God’s message far and wide. Our presenters were exceptional, and the fellowship was truly inspiring. We’re already looking forward to next year.”
