AEC Teachers Prepare for the New School Year Through In-Service Training

Allegheny East Conference educators gathered August 10–11 for a two-day teacher in-service training designed to strengthen professional skills, leadership, and school effectiveness. Held in the AEC Conference Office Great Room, the sessions addressed key areas including curriculum and lesson planning, human resources, risk management, and leadership development.

Tuesday’s program focused on THINK Training, with Dr. Darryl Spivey and Pastor William Joseph leading educators through sessions centered on THINK Vision, THINK Right Environment, THINK Teams, THINK Decision Making, THINK Goals, and THINK Jesus. Teachers were also challenged to identify a Key Leadership Challenge that could contribute to their personal growth and their school’s success over the coming 10 months.

The training provided educators with practical tools and opportunities for reflection as they prepare to lead, teach, and serve students throughout the upcoming school year.

Let’s remember to keep our educators, students, and parents in your prayers for a successful school year!
