First Millsboro Church celebrates 10th Annual Sabbath School Banquet

The celebration of a decade of faith and fellowship filled the banquet hall of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company located in Oak Orchard, Delaware on the evening of December 6, 2025.

Members of First Millsboro SDA Church along with family and friends from other churches and the community gathered to honor the superintendents, secretaries, teachers, and pianist for the wonderful and dedicated work that has been done this year for the Sabbath School Ministry.

The program was filled with participants from the First Millsboro SDA Sabbath School and Community to celebrate gratitude of each person taking time to share in this momentous occasion.

The banquet feast was provided by Blended Gifts and Vegan entrees by Leesa Banks.

The musical entertainment for the evening was provided by local talent from various churches.  In addition, a special guest, Jimmie Allen, sang 2 selections at the banquet.   Jimmie Allen is a 2021-2022, winner of the Country Music Awards New Artist of the Year and the Academy Country Music New Male Artist of the year,   making history as one of the few Black artists to win these, and securing a rare Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. (Google Search and verified).    Jimmie Allen has strong ties with many of the local SDA Churches through worshipping together in his early years.

A Fashion Show was shared by Fun, Faith, Fancy, and Favor featuring Sabbath School and local community members.  Games and door prizes were intermingled through the evening to keep guests filled with laughter and joy.

Sabbath School Superintendent, Mildred Polk expressed deep appreciation to the Sabbath School Ministry at First Millsboro SDA Church by presenting awards to those who supported the Ministry.  Gratitude and love for all that attended.   Thus embodying Unity: Celebrating others' successes strengthens the whole community which is the Body of Christ.

Closing remarks were given by First Millsboro’s Sr. Pastor, Pastor Jajuan Sanders.
