Hagerstown Haitian Celebrates 1st Adventurer Day

Hagerstown, MD - Saturday, May 23, 2026, was a special Sabbath filled with energy, excitement, and thanksgiving as the Hagerstown Haitian SDA celebrated its very first Adventurer Day. The event marked a historic milestone for the young and growing Adventurers' Club that was officially organized and launched just five months ago.

Under the dedicated leadership of Chief Anise Joseph, who was appointed Adventurers Club Director in January 2026, the Lord has tremendously blessed the growth and development of the club. Since its launch in January 2026, the ministry has been meeting the spiritual, social, and developmental needs of the young Haitian-American community in Hagerstown and the surrounding areas.

The church sanctuary was filled with joy as children, parents, leaders, and members of Hagerstown Haïtian gathered together to celebrate this memorable occasion. The Adventurers participated with enthusiasm, demonstrating unity, discipline, and Christian fellowship throughout the service. The atmosphere reflected the excitement of a ministry that is already making a positive impact in the lives of many families.

Adding to the significance of the day, Haggi Beautellus delivered a powerful and historic sermon that inspired and uplifted the congregation. His message encouraged the church to continue investing in the spiritual growth of its children and youth as future leaders of the church and community.

Pastor Dr. Brian Ladiny, HBH District Pastor, became emotional as he reflected on the milestone reached by the Hagerstown Adventurers, stating : "...Man...This is more than just a program,” Dr. Ladiny shared. “This is ministry...This is preparing our children for leadership, service, and eternity.” With tears in his eyes, he expressed gratitude for everyone who has worked tirelessly to support the ministry.

He especially thanked Pastor Tabuanka Jean, Elder Marc Toussaint, Sister Anise Joseph, Elder John B. Antoine, the Club staff and all the parents of Hagerstown Haitian SDA who continue to sacrifice their time, energy, and resources for the success of the Hagerstown Haïtian Adventurers' Club.

As the service concluded, members rejoiced together in thanksgiving for what God has already accomplished in such a short period of time. The celebration served as a reminder that God continues to bless the mission and vision of the Hagerstown Haitian SDA as it reaches families and nurtures the next generation in the area.

To God be the glory!
