Mt. Zion Miracle Station SDA Church Empowers Community Through Health Fair

Under the leadership of Pastor Carlos McConico, Mt. Zion Miracle Station Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church in Wilmington, Delaware, recently organized a Health Fair, bringing together the community for a day of celebration and wellness.

Health Fair Leader Patricia Pompey spearheaded the initiative, reaching out to the healthcare community to join in fostering a healthier neighborhood. Located just four blocks from Kirkwood Park, the church became a hub for promoting overall well-being.

The Mt. Zion Community Service Department generously provided free food, nurturing both bodies and a sense of community. The Women’s Ministry offered a holistic approach to well-being, catering to the mind, body, and heart.

Children were engaged through the Children’s Ministry, where playful activities and crafts emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle from an early age. The Personal Ministries department connected with the community spiritually, offering Bible study sign-ups and addressing questions.

Pastor McConico took the opportunity to conduct a community child dedication, symbolizing the church's commitment to the growth and well-being of the next generation.

As the event concluded, Sharon Green, the Health Fair Assistant, recognized participating vendors with certificates of participation, expressing gratitude for their contributions.

In summary, Mt. Zion Miracle Station SDA Church's Health Fair showcased the power of community collaboration and a shared commitment to holistic well-being. By addressing physical, mental, and spiritual aspects, the event strengthened community bonds and reaffirmed Mt. Zion's role as a cornerstone in residents' lives.
