Remnant Church Celebrates 15 Years of God’s Leading

The Remnant Church in Burtonsville, Maryland, under the Allegheny East Conference (AEC), celebrated its 15th anniversary with a Thanksgiving weekend on November 15–16, 2024.

Founded in 2009 by a small group of believers, the church has grown into a thriving congregation of 168 members, recognized as one of the top ten tithe-paying churches in the Conference. The theme, “Celebrating God’s Leading,”reflected its inspiring journey of faith and ministry.

The weekend began with Friday vespers, led by Gary Wimbish, AEC Vice President for Administration. On Sabbath, over 600 worshippers gathered in person, and 1,000 joined online to hear an uplifting sermon by Marcellus Robinson, President of the Columbia Union Conference. The church invested $350,000 to upgrade the audio and lighting systems, including an LED wall, enhancing worship experiences for all.

The celebration featured a potluck lunch and a soul-stirring concert glorifying God’s faithfulness. Led by Pastor Sujjan John and his team, the church remains committed to exalting God and spreading the Three Angels’ Messages.
