Daily Manna Food Pantry Prepares for Annual Renewal

The Daily Manna Food Pantry, a ministry of the First Millsboro SDA Church, continues to uphold high standards as a Food Bank of Delaware Community Food Pantry Partner. Each year, the pantry undergoes evaluation in line with USDA and Delaware Health and Human Services policies. Volunteers, under the leadership of Karen Hamlin, are preparing documentation for this year’s renewal.

The pantry serves as a vital resource for the community, opening its doors every Wednesday from 4–6 p.m. and on the first and third Sabbaths from 2–4 p.m. Guests are welcomed to “shop” for groceries within set limits, ensuring families leave with items most needed for their households.

Donations from church members and local supporters, especially fresh produce, add to the abundance of food available, strengthening the pantry’s mission to meet community needs with dignity and care.
