First Millsboro Church Serve Homeless Veterans

At the beginning of October, First Millsboro SDA Church partnered with Community Title Network and Ridgway Law Group, LLC to provide coats and toiletries for the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans.

Below is an excerpt from the official email sent on November 10, 2025, by Gregory B. Dyer, CPA, Chief Financial Officer / Chief Operating Officer:

“Yesterday we packed up 520 coats, 5 large boxes of toiletries, and 5 boxes of hats, gloves, and scarves—and delivered them to five different organizations that support homeless veterans! The groups we made deliveries to were:

  • US Vets

  • Central Union Mission

  • SOME (So Others Might Eat)

  • Miriam's Kitchen

  • Veterans on the Rise

They were all extremely thankful for the donations that each of you helped to generate! And our timing could not have been better with the cold weather that hit our area last night.

Many thanks to each of you for supporting and promoting this effort! And please thank your real estate partners, friends, family, and other organizations that allowed us to exceed our goal of 500 coats. That truly raises the bar for next year!
Gregg

First Millsboro SDA Church, along with surrounding community partners, contributed the vast majority of coats and toiletries received for the Bethany Beach and Selbyville offices of Ridgway Law Group, LLC.

Thank you for reaching out and being part of a meaningful community give-back effort for October 2025.
Once again, God’s light has shown how powerful a partnership between church and community can be—reflecting the spirit of Hebrews 10:24–25 (NIV):

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together…but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

We look forward to setting and surpassing a new goal in 2026.
