Grace Pointe Church Hosts 3rd Annual Ladies Tea Party: A Celebration of Unity in Diversity
On Sunday, September 14, 2025, Grace Pointe SDA Church in Montclair, NJ held its 3rd Annual Ladies Tea Party, with 42 women gathering in a warm, grace-filled celebration of faith, sisterhood, and spiritual growth. This cherished event has become a highlight of the year—where women come together not just for tea and fellowship, but to reflect on what it means to have A Heart Like His.
Year 1: A Heart Like His – Living and Leaving a Legacy of Love
In our very first tea party, we explored how even a simple tea cup can be a powerful symbol of spiritual truth:
• The handle reminded us of Jesus’ hand—offering help so we don’t get burned by life’s heat.
• The cup symbolized our hearts—holding whatever is poured in. As God pours His love and grace into us, we’re called to pour that same love into others.
• The saucer caught the spills—offering a safe place to lay down burdens, just as Christ invites us to lay down ours.
We were each challenged with the question:
“What’s in your cup?”
Because when life bumps into us—whatever’s inside is what spills out.
Year 2: A Heart Like His – Love in Action
Our second year deepened the journey with the story of Teddy Stoddard, a young boy misunderstood by his teacher—until she read his full story. It was a powerful reminder not to judge others too quickly. Compassion often begins when we take time to understand.
We turned to Romans 12:9–18, where Paul defines Love in Action:
• Be sincere
• Hate what is evil
• Honor one another
• Rejoice and weep with each other
• Live in harmony
We were reminded that even the smallest act of kindness can make a lasting impact.
Year 3: Unity in Diversity – Celebrating Our Uniqueness in Christ’s Love
This year’s theme, “Unity in Diversity,” centered around 1 Corinthians 12:12, which reminds us that the body of Christ is made up of many parts—each different, yet deeply connected.
We celebrated the beauty of our unique backgrounds, cultures, and experiences.
We were reminded:
• Unity does not mean uniformity.
• It means choosing love over division, grace over judgment, and community over isolation.
• It means embracing one another, not just tolerating differences.
We were encouraged to continue growing hearts like His—hearts that see, love, and celebrate one another just as Jesus does.

A Lasting Legacy
Each year, the Ladies Tea Party grows—not just in numbers, but in spiritual depth. As we sip tea and share stories, we’re building a legacy of love, compassion, and unity that we pray will continue for generations to come.
