New Church Celebration in Guinaudée, Haiti
The Salem Seventh-day Adventist Church in Guinaudée, Cahouin, Haiti, celebrated a special milestone on September 5, 2026, with the dedication of its newly completed church building. Members, families, community residents, and friends gathered at 8:00 a.m. for a service of worship, thanksgiving, and celebration.
The church was a passion project of the late Pastor Yveniel St. Luc, former pastor at Allegheny East Conference. “This project was very close to Pastor St. Luc, so seeing it completed means so much to our family," said Marie Denise Villarceau St. Luc.
The dedication marked an important moment in the congregation’s journey as the church officially set apart its new place of worship for the service of God and the community. The occasion was celebrated under the theme "A House to Worship, a Light to the Community,” reflecting the congregation’s desire for the church to be more than a building—a place where people can worship, experience fellowship, find hope, and receive Christian service.
The new facility provides a welcoming space for the Salem congregation to gather for worship, Bible study, fellowship, ministry, and outreach. Its dedication represents the faith, commitment, and collective efforts of those who helped make the project possible.
The celebration was conducted under the auspices of the Seventh-day Adventist Mission of Northwest Haiti (MANOH). With gratitude for God’s leading and the support of those who contributed to the project, the congregation dedicated the building to the continued proclamation of the gospel and service to others.
As the church looks toward the future, the Salem congregation is committed to making its new home a place where worship, community, service, and hope come together. The members believe that this newly dedicated temple will serve as a lasting testimony of God’s faithfulness and a source of blessing to the people of Guinaudée and surrounding communities.
