President Kinlock Prophesies “The Rain is Coming” to AEC

It was a Spirit filled camp meeting weekend as members came from all over to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the birth of the Allegheny conference.  The celebration began with a rousing message by Dr. Emil Peeler at the Friday night ordination service where four pastors were ordained into the gospel ministry (Pastor Shane Francis, Pastor Amanda Hawley, Pastor Jajuan Sanders, and Pastor Elijah Stanley).  On Sabbath morning the diversity of AEC was on full display with a celebratory parade of nations that featured over 30 nations represented within the conference. AEC is the most diverse regional conference in the nation and continues to grow (with over 5000+ Hispanic members, 2000+ Haitian members, 1000+ African members, 500+ Korean members, 400+ members from the Southeast Asian community).  Dr. Kinlock elevated AEC’s rich cultural diversity and delivered a prophetic message charging members to be bold and unapologetic in this divisive historical moment.  Pastors anointed hundreds who responded to Kinlock’s appeal to receive the latter rain refreshing.  One of the highlights of the weekend was the Taste of AEC organized by the 80th anniversary committee where members enjoyed delicious meals from the different cultures.
