Penuel Church Celebrates 50 Years

Penuel Seventh-day Adventist Church recently celebrated 50 years of God’s faithfulness, and it was a beautiful reminder that what God starts, He is able to sustain. Our 50th Anniversary Worship Service was more than a program. It was a testimony. It was a moment for the church to look back with gratitude, look around with joy, and look ahead with hope.

The service opened in a spirit of reverence and celebration. From the poem to the call to worship, invocation, and affirmation of faith, the atmosphere was set to honor God for carrying Penuel through five decades of ministry. Every part of the worship experience pointed to the goodness of the Lord and the strength He has given this church through many seasons.

As the service continued, the congregation was blessed by a special presentation and a church history reflection that helped bring Penuel’s journey back into view. It was a powerful moment to remember where the Lord has brought this church from, the prayers that were prayed, the sacrifices that were made, and the lives that have been touched along the way. What stood out clearly is this: Penuel is still here because God has been faithful.

The worship experience was filled with praise and adoration, lifting the name of Jesus. The songs of praise, special music, and moments of worship brought the congregation together in thanksgiving for all God has done.

2 Chronicles 7:11 to 16 served as a strong and fitting reminder that when God places His name on a house, that house carries purpose, prayer, and promise. The spoken word by Dr. T. Kinlock, President of the Allegheny East Conference, added weight to the occasion and underscored the importance of this milestone in the life of Penuel SDA Church, with the title "I Know Who I Am."  It was a moment that honored both legacy and leadership.

From beginning to end, the 50th Anniversary celebration reflected unity, gratitude, and expectation. It honored the elders, pastors, leaders, members, and families who have helped build and sustain the ministry over the years. More importantly, it gave glory to God, who has remained the center of it all.

As Penuel celebrates 50 years, this anniversary is not just about what has been. It is also about what is ahead. The same God who kept the church in the past will lead it into the future. The same God who opened doors, made ways, and sustained His people will continue to do it again. This celebration was a declaration that Penuel’s story is still being written, and the best is still to come.

Happy 50th Anniversary to Penuel Seventh-day Adventist Church. To God be the glory for the great things He has done.anniversary
