Trinity Temple Academy Celebrates Parents and Grandparents
Trinity Temple Academy recently hosted its Grandparents & Parents Appreciation Program on September 11th, bringing students, families, faculty, and staff together for a special celebration honoring the parents and grandparents who play an essential role in the lives of its students.
Held under the theme “Celebrating Those Who Love, Guide, and Support Us,” the program provided students with an opportunity to publicly express their gratitude for the love, prayers, sacrifices, wisdom, and encouragement they receive from their families. The event reflected the school’s commitment to strengthening the partnership between the home, school, and church while teaching students the importance of gratitude and honoring those who support them.
The program opened with prayer and included a welcome, Scripture reading, student presentations, poetry, handmade gifts, music, and special words of appreciation. Proverbs 17:6, “Children’s children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers,” served as a biblical reminder of the importance of family and the legacy passed from one generation to the next.
Students from across the grade levels participated throughout the program. Classes prepared presentations expressing why they were thankful for their parents and grandparents, while middle school students presented a special poem highlighting the love, wisdom, sacrifice, and support families provide.
One of the highlights of the program was the Special Recognition of Parents and Grandparents. Family members were invited to stand as Trinity Temple Academy students and staff recognized them for their continued encouragement, prayers, guidance, and support. Students also prepared personal letters and gifts for their loved ones, with several students reading their letters aloud before presenting them to their families.
“At Trinity Temple Academy, we recognize that Christian education is a partnership between the home, school, and church,” said Principal Shaianne Nwadike. “We wanted our parents and grandparents to know that we see their sacrifices, we value their partnership, and we appreciate the love and prayers they continually pour into our students. Their influence is helping shape not only who our students are today, but who they are becoming in Christ.”
The celebration also gave students an opportunity to practice gratitude beyond simply saying “thank you.” Through their words, letters, prayers, and presentations, students were encouraged to recognize the people who consistently invest in their lives.
The program concluded with remarks from Principal Nwadike and a special prayer of Thanksgiving and blessing over the parents, grandparents, students, families, faculty, and staff.
Through events such as the Grandparents & Parents Appreciation Program, Trinity Temple Academy continues its mission of developing students academically and spiritually while building meaningful relationships with the families it serves. The celebration served as a reminder that strong Christian education is strengthened by generations working together to love, guide, pray for, and support the next generation.
