Washington Metro Area Women’s Ministries Celebrates Sisterhood at Red, White & YOU Brunch
On Sunday, September 27, 2026, the Washington Metro Area Women’s Ministries (WMAWM) welcomed more than 100 women to Emmanuel Brinklow Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ashton, Maryland, for its Red, White & YOU Women’s Brunch, a gathering centered on faith, fellowship, and connection.
Dressed in beautiful red-and-white brunch-chic outfits, women from across the Washington Metro Area enjoyed a delightful late-morning brunch filled with meaningful conversations, laughter, and delicious food. The gathering was intentionally designed to provide a relaxed, refreshing atmosphere where women could step away from their everyday responsibilities and simply enjoy being in community with one another.
A special highlight was the presence of Dr. Marleena Debrough, Allegheny East Conference Women’s Ministries Director, who shared an encouraging message, answered questions, and personally connected with attendees.
The spirit of fellowship also extended into meaningful community impact. Attendees generously donated diapers, laundry detergent, personal care products, and other essential items in support of the upcoming Remote Area Medical (RAM) Clinic hosted by Emmanuel Brinklow Seventh-day Adventist Church. These contributions reflected a shared commitment to meeting practical needs and demonstrating Christ’s love through service.
“We praise God for the gift of sisterhood and the beautiful bonds being strengthened across the Washington Metro Area,” shared Sekema Rhodes, Washington Metro Area Women’s Ministries Leader.
The brunch served as a beautiful reminder that Women’s Ministries is about more than organizing events. It is about nurturing relationships, encouraging one another, and creating opportunities to grow together in Christ while making a meaningful difference in our communities.
