Trinity Temple Academy Celebrates Student Leadership: “Growing to Lead, Called to Serve”

position butTrinity Temple Academy proudly celebrated its 2026 Student Council Induction Program on October 6, 2026, under the theme “Growing to Lead, Called to Serve.” Rooted in Colossians 3:23–24, the ceremony highlighted the school’s commitment to developing Christ-centered young leaders who understand that leadership is not simply about holding a position, but about serving God and others with character, excellence, and purpose.

Students played an active role throughout the program. Levi Hunte, Grade 6, opened with prayer, followed by a welcome from Leilani Johnson, Grade 6. Neliah Lawson, Grade 4, presented the Scripture reading from Colossians 3:23–24, while Annielle Vaudreuil, Grade 6, introduced the guest speaker.

Trinity Temple Academy was honored to welcome Dr. John Alberty, Superintendent of Schools for the Allegheny East Conference, as the guest speaker. His presence and message reinforced the importance of preparing young people to become responsible, faithful, and service-minded leaders in their schools, churches, and communities.

Following the message, Erin Allbrook, Grade 6, offered a special thank-you to Dr. Alberty. Students and staff then participated in the Student Council Pledge, affirming the responsibility that comes with student leadership.

A particularly meaningful part of the ceremony was the involvement of the students’ families. Parents attended the induction and participated in the Pinning Ceremony, personally placing the Student Council pins and official jackets on their children. This created a memorable moment for each family as parents had the opportunity to celebrate their students’ accomplishments and publicly support them as they accepted the responsibility of leadership. The moment reflected the important partnership between home and school in developing the next generation of Christian leaders.

The newly inducted Student Council members then delivered their acceptance speeches, sharing their commitment to represent and serve their fellow students. The program also featured “Lift Every Voice and Sing” and the Trinity Temple Academy Anthem.

Mrs. Howard assisted the officers with their pledges, while the Home and School Association beautifully decorated the gymnasium for the occasion. Principal Mrs. Nwadike delivered the closing remarks, encouraging students to remember that leadership is more than a title—it is a call to serve others with integrity, humility, and dedication. The ceremony concluded with a closing prayer offered by D’andre Richards, a sixth-grade student.

The Student Council Induction was more than the beginning of a new term of student government. It was a celebration of students, families, faith, and leadership. With parents standing beside their children and school and Conference leadership supporting them, the ceremony demonstrated the community that surrounds Trinity Temple Academy students as they grow into the leaders God has called them to become.

Through opportunities such as Student Council, Trinity Temple Academy continues its commitment to developing students spiritually, academically, and socially while teaching them the values of character, leadership, service, and excellence.

At Trinity Temple Academy, our students are “Growing to Lead, Called to Serve.”
