Dr. Kinlock and Alberty inspire through Brothers Rising program
Approximately 75 young men from across AEC traveled to the nation's capital for the Brothers Rising college tour. The Brothers Rising program is a new AEC initiative to address declining college enrollment rates for Black males. Young men traveled to Bowie State University and Howard University where they received insightful information on the college experience. Their recent online session featured recruitment presentations from Washington Adventist University and Oakwood University. President Kinlock preaches at Rehoboth SDA
Elder Kinlock joined the members of the Rehoboth SDA church in Reading for their annual Deacon & Deaconness Day celebration. Led by Sr. Pastor Rabiel Torres, the Rehoboth congregation is a vibrant church doing impactful work in the community. They recently held an evangelistic meeting and have baptized a total 67 souls to date. Pastor Torres is excited about the opportunity to reach the local community through acts of compassion and the gospel!

President Kinlock attended the recent Oakwood University Board of Trustees meeting in Huntsville as well as a series of Regional conference meetings. The leaders convened on matters of institutional governance, transition, and strategic sustainability under the new OU president, Dr. Gina Brown. Please keep Oakwood University in prayer as leaders chart a course for growth and institutional effectiveness.

Kinlock and Alberty kick off "All for One" at Dupont Park School
This fall AEC leaders kicked off the Fall Campaign for the "All for One and One for All" initiative. This initiative challenges every member, pastor, leader, and church to give an additional 1% to support students in AEC schools. Drs. Kinlock and Alberty are traveling to all 11 AEC schools to promote this initiative. Students at Dupont Adventist School joyfully responded to this effort to raise funds to support their school. Reach Baltimore results in many souls for Christ
Elder Kinlock along with many leaders and members joined the final meeting of the Reach Baltimore evangelistic meeting held at Goucher College. Thousands heard the gospel preached by John Bradshaw and Alex Bryant during the month-long meetings. The meetings were broadcast across the country and around the world leading to a broad proclamation of the gospel. Kinlock shared, "This meeting was a powerful opportunity for us to share Christ with the residents of Baltimore and the full impact of this effort may only be seen when we get to heaven!"

President Kinlock attends NAD Year end meetings
Elder Kinlock represented AEC at the recent North American Division year end meetings at the Division headquarters in Columbia, MD. Attendees voted reports and selected leaders for the various division departments. Elder Alex Bryant, NAD president shared the division's upcoming emphasis to reach souls with intentionality through digital communication. The new Pentecost and Beyond initiative will channel resources to help reach online audiences for Christ.

Fil Am Oxon Hill church celebrates 14 year anniversary
President Kinlock recently spoke at the Fil Am Oxon Hill SDA church in Oxon Hill, Maryland. The church celebrated 14 years of ministry and mission under the leadership of Sr. Pastor Ariel Matira. The congregation is a warm and vibrant predominantly Filipino congregation in the Maryland area. The Kinlocks enjoyed a delicious fellowship lunch with the Fil Am Oxon Hill members after service.

Columbia Union meetings Highlight evangelism
Drs. Kinlock and Ron Williams joined the Columbia Union executive committee for their fall meeting at the Southern Asian SDA church in SIlver Spring, MD. Conferences reported on the recent evangelistic fervor taking over many churches and communities in the Union. Union President, Elder Robinson expressed gratitude to God for the great things happening across the Union.

Beacon Light SDA honors Pastor's Birthday with Dr. Kinlock
Dr. Kinlock joined the members of the Beacon Light SDA church in Annapolis, MD as they celebrated the birthday of Pastor Novella Smith. Pastor Smith has led the congregation for the last four years and has become beloved by the community. Her efforts for outreach and community engagement has allowed the church to make inroads to their local neighborhood. Dr. Kinlock preached for the main worship service and enjoyed a fellowship meal in honor of Pastor Smith's birthday.
President Lauds AEC at 80 years
Members of AEC came together on Nov 15th to culminate the year long celebration of Allegheny's 80 years! The evening was an amazing and memorable night recognizing faithful servant leaders across generations in AEC. A packed room of attendees represented all six geographic areas of the conference. The primary purpose of the gala was to raise funds for AEC schools through the "All for One" initiative. Kinlock remarked, "I want to thank the committee and all those who sacrificially gave and helped us raise tens of thousands of dollars that evening"! President Kinlock lauded the evangelistic and educational impact AEC has held for 80 years

Dr. Tyler joins Kinlock at Howard University
Dr. Keenan Tyler, senior pastor of the Shiloh SDA church in Petersburg recently joined Dr. Kinlock for an inspiring lecture at Howard University. Dr. Tyler lectured to Kinlock's sociology class on the intersections of race and religious ideology in America. Tyler discussed the historical misuse of the Christian scriptures by White religious leaders to justify slavery and Black subordination throughout the centuries of American history. He also taught how the Black church used the same Christian scriptures to fight for liberation from oppression. Students enjoyed Tyler's historical insights and presentation style. Kinlock has taught courses on race, white supremacy, and social struggle at Howard for the past five years.

Kinlock preaches Hope at Maranatha Spanish church
Elder Kinlock preached at the Maranatha Spanish church in Manassas, VA. Under the leadership of senior pastor Alvaro Orozco, the congregation continues to grow and be a beacon of light in the Manassas community. Hispanic cultural coordinator, Pastor Ramon Escalante co-preached the message interpreting in Spanish. "Maranatha Spanish is one of our bright congregations reflecting the beauty of our diversity in AEC" said Kinlock.

Kinlock and Martin join Fourth Street Friendship for Mortgage Burning Celebration
The sounds of joy and celebration could be heard at the Fourth Street Friendship church in Washington, D.C. as they thanked God for retiring their mortgage. Dr. Kinlock and ormer pastors joined members in a thanksgiving and celebration service where they burned their mortgage. Senior Pastor Glen Baxter and spouse Hazel Baxter led the congregation in history, music, and other items to highlight the special journey of the church. Church members re-commited to the work of mission and service to the Washington, D.C. community.

Kinlock Highlights New Life Evangelism that baptized 154 and total Compassion Evangelism of 829 souls
The New Life SDA church in Hampton, VA just witnessed a kingdom harvest where 154 souls joined the church. Senior Pastor Geston Pierre led the congregation in an evangelistic meeting that ministered to the needs of the community and preached the gospel. President Kinlock shared that the 9 major compassion evangelism meetings in AEC this year won 829 souls to the kingdom!
