Prison Ministries Hosts 36th Annual Awards Banquet

AEC’s Prison Ministries Federation hosted their 36th Awards Banquet on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 2-5 PM at the Charles Bradford Conference Center at the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists in Columbia, Maryland. The theme for the gathering was “More Than Conquerors.”

Federation officers Karen McKinnie and Charlene Wright served as mistresses of ceremony. Music was offered by Denise Barclay and the keynote speaker was Pastor Leon Beckles, chaplain and family life counselor. “The Courtroom,” a skit written by federation president Louis Williams, was performed by federation members. It centered around the events of judgement day as found in Daniel 7:10 and Revelation 20:12

Federation awards were given to those who have over 30 years of volunteer service with prison ministries. The special retirement award was given to Gloria Davis from the Northern New Jersey Chapter. The Pastor of the Year award was given to Pastor Cecil Williams. It was a great time of fellowship and celebration of an impactful ministry and the individuals who make it possible.
