Salem Communication Day 2026: Connecting Faith, Communication, and Technology

The Salem Haitian Seventh-day Adventist Church invites the community to a special Communication Day celebration on Saturday, October 10, 2026, bringing together faith, practical communication skills, and emerging technology for a day of worship, learning, and inspiration.

The event promises to explore how effective communication can strengthen families, build meaningful relationships, enhance ministry, and help the church connect with an ever-changing world.

The celebration begins with Divine Worship at 11:00 AM, featuring guest speaker LaTasha Hewitt, Communication Director of the Allegheny East Conference (AEC) of Seventh-day Adventists.

At 2:30 PM, an interactive afternoon seminar will feature three engaging presentations led by leaders in ministry, communication, and technology:

  • Communication Begins at Home, presented by Dr. Wilfrid Louis Jean, Pastor of the Salem Church District, will explore biblical principles of communication, strengthening family relationships, resolving conflicts, and communicating with love, authenticity, and understanding.

  • Communicating Effectively, led by LaTasha Hewitt, Communication Director of the Allegheny East Conference, will provide practical insights into effective speaking, active listening, storytelling, crisis communication, and building meaningful connections.

  • AI, Technology & Ministry, presented by Alker-Kelly Antoine, Communication Director of Salem Haitian Seventh-day Adventist Church, will explore the growing role of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in ministry and evangelism. The session will include practical demonstrations, creative applications, ethical considerations, and guidance on using these tools responsibly.

More than a traditional church program, Communication Day promises practical takeaways, interactive discussions, live demonstrations, and opportunities to engage directly with experienced leaders.

Whether you're a church leader, ministry volunteer, communication professional, technology enthusiast, parent, young adult, or simply someone looking to become a better communicator, this event offers something valuable for everyone.

All are welcome! Salem invites members, neighboring churches, communication teams, and the broader community to join this exciting day of worship, discovery, and connection.

Join us Saturday, October 10, at 11:00 AM for worship and 2:30 PM for the afternoon seminar. Come ready to learn, connect, and be inspired!
